Hello all ! Welcome to Mildly Unhinged, my personal blog for all sorts of random things. Today I want to talk about my favorite home decor staples and what I would recommend for any fall preparations, decor wise of course. Click the titles of each thing listed for a link to each item. Thank so much for supporting me!!
Coffee Table
First things first, you got to have the perfect coffee table. Since my son is about to start walking, we purchased this coffee table from pottery barn. Let me tell you it is PERFECT. There are no sharp edges that he could accidentally fall into and hurt himself. The color is such a great neutral too. Space for toys or books under it, and candle storage! One thing about this piece is that it is sturdy and it is one of the most nicest pieces of furniture that I have.

Hand-Tuffed Wool Rug
Now this rug isn’t the best with messy kids, BUT it is seriously one of the prettiest rugs I have ever laid my eyes on. Truly, it is beautiful and I hope they have it in stock when my son is a lot older haha. Pottery Barn has a lot of good quality rugs that feel expensive. The cheap rugs now-a-days that are easier to wash in a washing machine feel thin and cheap and just do not compare. Look at this beautiful rug!

Wooden Pumpkin Candles
Ok, I don’t have these either because they are a bit expensive butttttt they are so perfect for fall, and the best part is that you can use them after you burn through all the wax.

Swivel Chair
Y’all, this chair is THE chair for any cozy nook, and that just screams cold cozy afternoons, with an autumn smelling candle and the softest blanket. It has enough room for my whole body, and I can lay comfortably after I find a good spot to get in haha. It comes in so many colors from Pottery Barn, and for the quality, it’s worth the price. My husband and I are actually thinking about getting our second.

‘Good Boy’ Art Piece
I saw this when I was scrolling through Pottery Barn’s website and fell in love with this piece. It makes me think of the Lab I had growing up, Dakota, he was the bestest of all boys. The artist wanted to show that special bond that they had with their own dog. It would elevate any space, just by the emotions it evokes alone. It’s a must have!

Greenery Mug
This ceramic mug that has green leaves going up it is breathtaking. It is my go to mug for the entirety of fall, besides maybe a (halloween one for a bit), and I consider it a must-have! It holds heat well and for a while, and the mug is so cute. It looks well in my space too, perfect for instagram pictures!

Mini-Glass Lamp
I saw this lamp the other day when we were walking through World Market, and I was in awe of this lamp. It was unnecessary for me to purchase right now with a future toddler running around, but boy would it light up my space just right! My wishlist of home decor is getting longer and longer. The glass of the lamp (the whole thing lol), comes in three colors: blue, green, and this brown color. My walls are green so I felt like both the green and the blue would clash with it.

Scalloped Basket
When I give gifts to friends in family, I often go the route of giving a ‘gift basket’ full of all sorts of their favorite things, along with things that I know that they would enjoy. For my sister’s birthday last month, I put in a pajama set, burrito blanket, face masks, elf lip glosses, claw clips, purple pens, and starbursts because those are all perfect gifts! The scalloped edges really elevate the basket as a whole AND they can use the basket afterwards. Depending on the size, I love to put blankets or magazines in. I will probably start to keep my son’s blankets along with ours in it going forward.
